N. Krueger. (2014, April 5). 3
things every teacher should be doing with web 2.0 tools [web blog]. Retrieved

In this blog sponsored by ISTE, Nicole Krueger briefly describes some
main points from two books written about Web 2.0 tools that can be used in
schools. The three mail points of the
blog talk about “constantly evaluating what students know, creating
personalized learning experiences, and helping students explore complex
problems”(Krueger, 2014).
What caught my eye was the section on allowing students to use their own
devices to make their learning more personalized. I looked into buying the
books until I realized that they were written in 2007. So much has changed with
technology since then that I felt the books would be outdated. I was happy to
see that there will be an updated version out soon.
The two books are Web 2.0: New Tools,
New Schools and its
companion guide, Web 2.0 How-To for
Educators, by Gwen
Solomon and Lynne Schrum
